How to turn a photo into a PDF

  1. Choose the photos from your gallery or folder (JPG, PNG and other formats).

  2. Put them in order and choose page size, orientation and margin.

  3. Create the PDF and download it.

When it helps

  • A website or office asks for a document in PDF and you only have a photo of it.

  • You photographed several pages and want them together in one file.

  • You want to send receipts or tickets in a format that opens the same everywhere.

Why use catScan

  • Private by design

This tool works inside your browser: the file is processed on your device and is never uploaded or stored.

  • Free to start

Sign in with Google and get 8 free uses per period, shared with the catScan app. 1 use = 1 downloaded file; if something fails, it doesn't count.

  • Nothing to install

It works in any modern browser on computer, tablet or phone. To scan paper with your camera, use the Android app.

Frequently asked questions

Can I make one PDF from several photos?

Yes. Select all of them at once or add more later: each photo becomes one page and you can drag them to change the order before creating the PDF.

Do photos lose quality in the PDF?

Very little. Large photos are scaled to at most 3000 pixels on the long side and saved at high quality, which keeps documents readable while the PDF stays a reasonable size.

Can I take the picture with the camera?

On phones, the file picker usually lets you take a new picture or choose one from the gallery. To scan paper with edge detection and several pages in a row, use the catScan Android app.

Are my files stored?

No. This tool processes the file on your device, inside the browser: it is not uploaded to any server and nothing is stored.
